In order to achieve our vision of allowing any serious racer to reach his or her full potential, we are constantly developing, testing, tuning and refining these sails. They are under continuous development and are very closely examined every time we do a new production build.
2020 KA.RACE
2020 is an important year for KA Sail Windsurfing and you can clearly see this reflected in the changes made to the range and line-up for this season. We remain true to our mission statement to stay leaders in innovation and produce very high quality products with a high performance level. The KA.RACE remains our full-blooded professional race sail created solely to win, but the set-up for 2020 has been totally redesigned and the KA.RACE is now a 7 carbon/composite batten/4 camber sail!
A new panel lay-out and revised shaping have been introduced into the KA.RACE series this season. with a more powerful lower foil provides huge drive and acceleration while the slippery upper profile minimises drag, delivering limitless top end speed.
To showcase the new design the graphics are totally updated.
UNBELIEVABLE DRAFT STABILITY AND A SOFT, LIGHT FEEL
The relatively high foil tension of the KA.RACE is teamed up again with the carbon/composite battens and 4 cambers producing draft stability levels that should really be experienced to be believed! The sail has a lighter and softer feel with a bit less pull from up high which makes the sail easier to lock down especially in rougher water. The design team has also taken a look at further reducing the overall weight of the sail without sacrificing the incredible stability keeping the emphasis on acceleration and top speed!
HI-TECH MATERIALS AND REDUCTION OF SWING WEIGHT
Hi-tech materials in the upper luff sleeve area of the KA.RACE have impacted the mast bend and leech twist for a lighter feel, enhanced acceleration, speed and stability. A notable feature is the hi-tech 2mil tri-axial laminate in the leech and mast sleeve reducing the sail’s overall weight and assisting control by reducing the swing weight.It also gives the KA.RACE a softer ergonomic, especially noticeably in rough conditions.
RDM VS SDM CAMBERS
Size 5.6 comes standard with RDM cambers, but are SDM compatible; sizes 6.3 and up are supplied standard with SDM cams, but are RDM compatible. SDM and RDM camber replacement sets are available.
